ASSEMBLYMEMBER IRA RUSKIN TO HOST COMMUNITY MEETINGS SATURDAY IN PALO ALTO AND LOS ALTOS

REDWOOD CITY – Assemblymember Ira Ruskin (D-Redwood City) will host community meetings Saturday, April 10, in Palo Alto and Los Altos. The public is invited to attend, ask questions and hear an update on the progress of the Joint Legislative Committee on the Master Plan for Higher Education. The joint committee, co-chaired by Assemblymember Ruskin and Senator Negrete McLeod (D-Chino), is reviewing the Master Plan and completing a needs-based assessment to determine what the state and its people need from higher education for decades to come. The committee completed its sixth public hearing this week, and will conduct its final hearing in May.
